Officially Official Business Cards
So would you believe it... after 10 years you would think i got my shit together and made up some business cards. Well, i finally made some. Aren't they snazzy?
Guess that means I have to get off my lazy, anti social ass now and get out to some conventions and network and actually hand some out. It's kind of funny when I think about it though.
The reality is, for as long as I have been doing this kind of work and as many people I network with online on a regular basis, it occurred to me that I have never met one in person and I can count on one hand the amount of clients I have talked with on the phone.
For a business that is all about bearing it all and "interpersonal relationships" it's really surprising just how many people in the adult industry are such an introverted bunch of cave trolls...
For me these business cards weren't really about generating more business or networking, as just a message to myself to take something from the computer world and push it out into something tangible in the real world that I can hold in my hand. A way to make something more real and maybe even influence some changes.
What this means to the future, who knows, but I am glad I did it. There's something about putting things in print that just feels more real now. It's really just a personal thing, and i'm not sure I can fully explain, but hopefully you understand what i'm getting at.
